Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb pizza dough Divided into 4
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Whole milk
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded Low moisture
  • ½ cup marinara sauce Plus extra for dipping
  • 1 large egg Beaten (wash)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For crust
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Chopped

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet Metal
  • 1 Parchment paper Non-stick
  • 1 Pastry brush For egg wash

Method
 

  1. Roll dough into circles; prep baking sheet.
  2. Layer ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce on one half.
  3. Fold over, crimp edges, and cut steam vents.
  4. Brush with egg, add spices, and bake at 425°F.

Notes

Cut slits in the top before baking to allow steam to escape and prevent the filling from leaking out; let cool for 5 minutes before eating.
