  • 1 teaspoon almond extract Adds a warm aromatic depth
  • 4 drops blue food coloring Adjust for desired sky blue hue

Equipment

  • 1 Ice Cream Maker To churn the cream smoothly
  • 1 Saucepan To dissolve sugar crystals safely
  • 1 Balloon Whisk To blend the extracts evenly

Method

  1. Warm the milk, sugar, and half the cream gently until the sweet sugar crystals dissolve completely below.
  2. Whisk the remaining cold cream, coloring, and fruit extracts into the warm milk base until smooth.
  3. Chill the blue liquid mixture in the refrigerator for four hours to lower the temperature completely.
  4. Churn the cold cream inside your machine for twenty minutes before freezing into a firm scoopable texture.

Notes

Chill the liquid dairy mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before churning to minimize ice crystals. Cover the surface of the frozen cream with wax paper to prevent freezer burn.
