Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh lemon juice Plus slices for garnish
  • ¾ cup Granulated sugar Or simple syrup to taste
  • ½ cup Cold water To help blend
  • 5 cups Ice cubes For the slush texture
  • 1 pinch Sea salt Optional, to enhance sweetness

Equipment

  • 1 High speed blender Crucial for a smooth ice texture
  • 1 Citrus juicer To easily extract the juice
  • 2 Glass Mason Jars For serving

Method

  1. Squeeze the fresh lemons until you have 1 cup of strained juice.
  2. Add the lemon juice, sugar, and cold water to a high-speed blender and blend on low until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the ice cubes to the blender and blend on high until the mixture becomes a thick, smooth slush.
  4. Pour the pale yellow frozen lemonade into glass mason jars.
  5. Garnish the rim with a lemon slice and serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For the smoothest slush texture, use a simple syrup instead of granulated sugar so it mixes evenly into the cold ice without any grittiness.
