A tall clear highball glass filled with a refreshing pale chartreuse green honeydew lemonade with ice, garnished with a gold cocktail skewer holding two honeydew melon balls and a fresh mint sprig, with a halved lemon beside it on a light linen napkin, a small plate of cubed honeydew melon, and a pitcher of the same drink partially visible on a bright white marble surface with a bowl of honeydew cubes softly blurred in the background.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups honeydew melon cubed and seeded
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice squeezed from whole fruit
  • ½ cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 3 cups cold water very icy chilled water
  • 2 cups ice cubes for serving glasses

Equipment

  • 1 Kitchen Blender To liquefy melon pieces
  • 1 Mesh Strainer To remove the pulp
  • 1 Glass Pitcher For blending and serving

Method

  1. Purée the raw honeydew melon cubes inside a blender until the texture turns completely smooth and liquefied.
  2. Strain the thick liquid purée through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to separate the unwanted heavy pulp.
  3. Whisk the fresh lemon juice and sugar into the melon base thoroughly until the crystals dissolve entirely below.
  4. Pour the pale green beverage over glasses packed with crushed ice to chill each serving instantly for drinking.

Notes

Strain the blended fruit juice through a fine wire sieve to remove all heavy pulp. Stir the pitcher well before serving because the natural melon nectar settles while sitting.
