Ingredients

  • 2 ounces light rum provides a clean crisp tropical spirit foundation base layer
  • 1 ounce dark rum floated slowly over top to deliver a deep molasses complexity
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice unหวาน to introduce a sharp zesty citrus forward lift
  • 2 ounces mango nectar thick and velvety to build a rich orange mango punch floor
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice squeezed from whole fruit to cut through heavy sugars cleanly
  • 1 whole edible orchid culinary grade purple bloom for the final dramatic top garnish

Equipment

  • 2 Ribbed Lowball Glasses Texturized glasses to cleanly showcase the layered sunset color layout
  • 1 Cocktail shaker Metal tin used to efficiently emulsion and chill the juice bases rapidly
  • 2 Metal Straws Sleek rose-gold straws to match our elegant cocktail party food aesthetic

Method

  1. Pack your ribbed lowball glasses completely to the absolute brim with fine ice chips to build a dense structural floor grid.
  2. Pour the light rum, fresh pineapple juice, thick mango nectar, and lime juice directly into a cocktail shaker tin with ice cubes.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously for fifteen full seconds until the outside of the metal shaker turns completely frosted and cold.
  4. Strain the icy-cold golden juice mixture slowly over the packed crushed ice, filling the glass to half an inch below the rim.
  5. Trickle the one ounce of dark rum carefully over the back of a spoon onto the top ice layer to create a layered float band.
  6. Slide a fresh lime wheel and orange twist against the inside glass walls, fanning them cleanly inside the ice grid.
  7. Position a pristine purple edible orchid and tiny yellow blossoms flat across the top ice floor, insert a metal straw, and serve cold.

Notes

Pack your serving glasses completely to the absolute brim with crushed ice to form a stable structural floor that holds the edible orchids completely dry. Float the dark rum slowly over the back of a spoon to preserve the beautiful sunset color gradient cleanly without bleeding.
